  3. and mesmerized by change, and so I think he would 
  4. be in love with this decade in terms of giving him a 
  5. constant repertoire of topics to discuss and to 
  6. analyze. But whether from the standpoint of his 
  7. deepest values he would love this time, probably 
  8. not, because certain traditional values he would 
  9. feel are eroding. The emergence, the use of TV 
  10. commercials in the classroom, and the increasing 
  11. commercialization of the academy and of parts of 
  12. traditional learning, and the erasure of open-
  13. minded independence into a corporate clone-think 
  14. increasingly facing the university and knowledge‚Äî
